NiteLites Of San Diego Recognized For Promoting Smart Building

NiteLites, San Diego’s architectural and landscape lighting professionals, was part of a special report printed by the San Diego Daily Transcript recently. The report identified local San Diego companies who have embraces environmentally sound building. Specifically, NiteLites has a collection of lighting fixtures that meet the International Dark Sky Association’s (IDA) requirements for dark sky friendly products.

The International Dark Sky Association is a membership-based non-profit organization whose mission is to work to preserve and protect the nighttime environment and our heritage of dark skies through quality outdoor lighting. The association’s approach to this goal is to encourage outdoor lighting manufacturers and planners to utilize fixtures which control the beam of light as well as for the fixtures to be low voltage. In this way, excessive glare, light trespass, and light pollution are managed.
