Continent Hotels and Resorts, who has License, rights of Continent and Ancyra brands; announced appointment of Athanasios (Thanasis) Tsepisis to Regional Director – i/c of Business Development in Thailand.

In his new position, Tsepisis will be responsible for overseeing all of Continent’s operating, Management Contracting and marketing functions including National Sales, Frequency Marketing, Franchise Sales and Services, Training, Sales Support.

Continent brand hotels are upscale properties designed for the leisure, business and extended-stay traveler and consist of Continent Hotels, Continent Resorts., Continent Hotel and Suites, Continent Park Hotels, Continent Boutique and Continent Inn & Suites hotels. Istanbul-based Continent Hotel Management Ltd acquired the brand Management and Franchise Sales rights to the Continent brand in 2003 and full ownership in 2007. According to new development contracts, as of 2011, there will be 19 new Continent branded hotels open or under construction worldwide.
