Local Franchisee To Build Two Airport Hotels

Western Hotel Partners is building two Hampton Inn & Suites hotels near McCarran International Airport. The $50 million projects will add a combined 274 guest rooms. Hampton Inn is a Hilton hotel brand, which has a 90 percent average occupancy rate throughout the Las Vegas Valley. There are six Hampton Inn & Suites in Southern Nevada, more than 1,400 hotels nationwide with 145,000 total guest rooms.

One of the new hotels is under construction at the southwest corner of Eastern Avenue and Sunset Road. The four-story, 129-room building is situated on 3.2 acres. R&O Construction is the contractor. Designed by Indigo Architecture, the 77,000-square-foot hotel will open in December.

The other Hampton Inn will open at the southeast corner of Sunset Road and Grier Drive. The four-story, 145-room hotel will break ground in the fourth quarter. A contractor has yet to be named. The 86,000-square-foot building, on 3.09 acres, will open in late 2009. Indigo is the architect on the project as well.
