Chinese mobile phone retailer the D.Phone has launched a franchising business, and plans to fully develop this area by the end of the year. In the next five years D.Phone is planning to expand from its present 1,200 outlets to 5,000 outlets through franchises and the direct sales model.
Explaining the company’s franchising fee structure, Shang Zhengguo, director of the D.Phone’s franchise department, said the company will charge a one-time fee of RMB 30,000 to those setting up a franchise, and require a deposit of RMB 50,000. In addition, D.Phone will charge RMB 20,000 a year as a management fee.
