Happi House Restaurants said Tuesday it will begin offering franchises of its Asian fast-casual restaurants.
The company — which opened its first location in 1976 in San Jose’s historic Japantown — said its board approved a plan to return the brand to franchising as early as third quarter 2008.
Happi House previously franchised locations from 1992 to 1996, but abandoned franchising in an effort to gain more control over its locations.
