Greer-based Kainos Partners LLC made history when it built seven new Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in the Upstate within a three-month period.
Bart Thorne, president and chief operating officer of Kainos, and his partners were informed of that feat when they recently accepted the Dunkin’ Donuts Domestic Developer of the Year award from Dunkin’ Brands Inc.Thorne said they were told that not since 1955 had any one Dunkin’ Donuts franchisee built as many restaurants in such a short time span.
Dunkin’ Brands, based in Massachusetts, honored Kainos during its annual Franchisee & Enterprise Awards dinner, citing the firm’s “high rate and quality of Dunkin’ Donuts growth,” and their “effective relationships with market teams, other franchisees, and communities in which they operate.”
The award Thorne said, was “a huge accomplishment” not only to the company, but to the Upstate “because there were so many people that helped allow us to get the award.”
