Bruegger’s Enterprises, Inc. recently celebrated the grand opening of its newest location this morning at 800 Post Road in Darien, Connecticut. To celebrate the occasion and thank the community for its support, a portion of opening day sales will be donated to Darien EMS Post 53. The new bakery marks the tenth location in Connecticut.
“Connecticut is a growing market for Bruegger’s,” said James J. Greco, CEO of Bruegger’s. “We are proud to be a part of the Darien community and I know our wholesome breakfast and lunch choices will be a popular choice here.”
The new Darien location has seating for up to 50 guests and will employ approximately 20 people. Bruegger’s currently operates a total of ten locations in Connecticut employing more than 150 people. The first Bruegger’s bakery-cafe opened in West Hartford in 1992. The bakery is open daily 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and features free, unlimited wireless Internet and a drive-thru service.
For over 35 years, Post 53 has provided the town of Darien, CT with emergency medical services, while providing local high school students with an exceptional opportunity to serve their community. Its dedicated volunteers man 3 fully-equipped state-of-the-art ambulances, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
