Baskin-Robbins, an ice-cream store chain, plans to expand its franchise base in Arizona.
Executives say they want to open more than 60 new restaurants in metro Phoenix as well as in Pinal, Gila and Yavapai counties.
The Canton, Mass.-based company will host a franchising seminar Aug. 19 at the Hilton Phoenix Airport, 2435 S. 47th St. The aim is to identify potential franchisees who are interested in opening at least three Baskin-Robbins outlets.
Currently, there are more than 25 Baskin-Robbins stores operating in the Phoenix area and more than 45 stores across Arizona.
Baskin-Robbins is part of Dunkin’ Brands Inc., the franchisor and operator of Dunkin’ Donuts stores, which also recently announced expansion plans for the area.
