The hunters are becoming the hunted: National for-profit day care chains have sniffed out affluent moms and moms-to-be crowding the wait lists of Central Ohio centers.
Atlanta-based Primrose Schools Franchising Co. has opened three schools since January, for a total of four in the area, and plans seven more in Franklin and Delaware counties over the next 18 months. And a group plans four franchises by spring for Tutor Time, which is operated by Novi, Mich.-based Learning Care Centers Inc.
