The fast food giant intends to recruit 4,000 new employees across the UK in response to sustained growth, which has seen the company serve an extra two million customers a month compared to last year.

Franchisee Pru Naik, who took over all six Reading restaurants in February, said: “Creating new jobs is great for the local community here in Reading and my business will be recruiting around 160 local people to fulfil the roles generated by this growth.”

Mr Naik is currently in the process of refurbishing four of the six eateries in Reading Gate Retail Park, Oxford Road, The Oracle and Friar Street.

“The restaurants across Reading are also having an image overhaul; customers can expect to see the stylish and striking new designs this autumn,” he said.
