Scottsdale-based Cold Stone Creamery on Tuesday announced the opening of its 100th international store, at one of the busiest railways stations in the world.
The ice-cream-store franchiser said its newest store is at Shinjuku Station in Tokyo.
“Reaching our 100th-store mark has been a great achievement,” said Lee Knowlton, president of international at Cold Stone’s parent, Kahala Corp.
Cold Stone began opening stores in Japan in 2005.
Popular flavors there include American combinations called Strawberry Shortcake Serenade and Berry Berry Berry Good.
Japanese creations include Blushing Mango Cloud and Peachy Cheeky.
