Xenia Gazette:

Breads of the World, the local franchisee for Panera Bread in southwestern Ohio, along with its associates and customers, donated more than 1,973 pounds of non-perishable breakfast food items to The Foodbank through the food drive that was hosted in celebration of the launch of Panera Bread’s new Grilled Breakfast Sandwiches. All donations made to the food drive will benefit southwestern Ohio children and families in need.

From August 8 through 17, Panera Bread customers were asked to donate a non-perishable breakfast food item to their local Panera Bread bakery-cafe in exchange for a free Grilled Breakfast Sandwich. Because of this campaign, The Foodbank was able to feed 1,973 people in need in southwestern Ohio.

“Panera Bread is dedicated to giving back to the local community,” said Jim Hach, operating partner for the greater Dayton-area Panera Bread bakery-cafes. “By way of our new take on breakfast we were able to partner with The Foodbank to support the members of our communities who need us most.”
