The grand opening is part of the nationwide expansion of the Cora network. The Burnside location represents the 12th restaurant to open its doors in the Maritimes and the 95th in Canada.

Nicholas Tsouflidis, president and son of founder Cora Tsouflidou, along with the Cora team and the franchisee, Ginette Bowering, proudly welcomed customers and Dartmouth dignitaries to the opening ceremony. It featured the symbolic cracking of eggs for the first omelette officially created in the restaurant.

As a demonstration of its support and dedication to the Dartmouth community, the Cora team presented a cheque to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Halifax. The donations were raised during a special Friends and Family Event, hosted the previous day.

Joining Dartmouth’s dignitaries, city influencers and all the major contributors to the restaurant opening were Cora team members David Polny, executive vice president of Cora Franchise Group; Ryan Shorten, director of Operations; and Jim Mcdonald, Atlantic Provinces Area Developer.
