New SUBWAY® Store Opens At Birmingham City Football Club

The SUBWAY® chain announced recently that it has opened up a new store at Birmingham City Football Club, the UK’s first SUBWAY® store to be located inside a football stadium. According to the information provided, this is the 30th store in Birmingham and the 22nd store for franchisee Dave Kelsey and his business partners Avtar Sandhar and Shangara Choongh. At 1,100 square feet, it is also one of the largest stores in the region.

Dave Kelsey has great ambitions for the future and plans to have a total of 30 stores open by the end of 2009. Commenting on the opening of his latest SUBWAY® store, Dave said: “With St. Andrew’s, the home of Birmingham City Football Club having the capacity for 29,000 football fans, it is an ideal location for a SUBWAY® store and has the potential to be extremely successful. We are looking forward to welcoming Blues fans to the store to fuel up for the game.”
