The first ribbon-cutting ceremony sponsored by the newly renamed Greater Lafayette Commerce was held Wednesday at the Domino’s Pizza restaurant, which has opened near Purdue Research Park in West Lafayette.
“I did my homework. As big as this area is growing, there are not enough dining options here,” said René Flores, who owns the local Domino’s franchise with his wife, Jill. “With all the talk about the research park and how many businesses are coming in and the projected growth, I jumped on it.”
Located in the expanded College Park Center retail center, the Domino’s has been built with a new company image that features bright interior colors and the addition of baked sandwiches to the menu.
Along with the traditional pickup and delivery options, sit-down dining is available, with accommodations for up to 24 people.“With the research park here, (sit-down dining) is something I had to do,” Flores said.
