Gates Adds Franchisee In Central Texas

A Wichita businessman has franchised his rent-to-own stores into central Texas.

Bud Gates, chief executive of Easygates LLC, has awarded the central Texas Easyhome franchise to Trent McKenzie, the former owner of a multi-unit automobile repair business and a partner in a chain of Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwich restaurants.

Plans call for McKenzie to open at least 10 stores, the first coming in the first quarter of 2009. Locations haven’t been announced.
