The Knoxville PODS franchisee, Volunteers Portable Moving & Storage LLC, has completed a $2.2 million expansion of its storage facility in WestBridge Business Park.
The PODS operation will move into a 41,000-square-foot building at 10155 Gallows Point Drive, about one mile east of the Pellissippi Parkway-Hardin Valley Road intersection. Volunteers Portable Moving & Storage is leasing the building.
The PODS franchise serves 13 counties in the Knoxville area and the new storage center offers a central location for customers to access their containers. PODS, or Portable On Demand Storage, developed the large plastic containers and a distribution network for them for residential and commercial use.
