LA Sunset Tan is planning to open three to five tanning salons in Wichita during the next five years, the company said in a news release Monday.
The company, based in California, is launching a franchising program and plans to open 500 locations during the next five years. The company says 25 of those salons will be in the Kansas City market.
Today, LA Sunset Tan says it has seven salons in three states. The company is claiming national fame by being featured in E! Entertainment’s reality TV series “Sunset Tan.”
Don Rottinghaus, a large Subway franchisee, is helping LA Sunset Tan find franchisees in Kansas City and Wichita. According to the company, the average cost to open a salon ranges from $247,900 and $652,500.
