Great Clips Hopes To Give The Hub A Haircut

Even with anxieties stirred up by concerns about the US economy in a possible recession, folks need haircuts and stylish coiffures – at least that’s the reasoning of Great Clips Inc., a Minnesota-based chain of “walk-in hair salons” that has big plans for this part of New England.

Great Clips announced this week that it is looking for local franchisee candidates; the company says it projects to have more than 200 salons in Greater Boston area eventually, with hopes to have at least 10 open by the end of 2009.
