Anytime Fitness To Add Local Gyms

The fitness craze may have started in the 1980s, but smaller, 24-hour gyms are taking the Dayton area by storm.

Anytime Fitness, a Hastings, Minn.-based 24-hour fitness franchise, is adding at least two locations in the Dayton area by the end of the year and more may be on the way.

Barry Herbert, an Anytime franchisee, and his business partner Jerry Clum, are set to open a location in Lebanon the week of Nov. 17, a Marion gym in December and another location in Piqua next year.

Herbert recently opened a Columbus gym to go along with his two Springfield locations.

“Anytime is about to explode,” Herbert said.
