The following question appeared in the FAQs: does the franchisor provide his franchisees with premises, or is it the franchisees’ responsibility to find one?
Both cases are possible. Being the head of a company, it is in any franchisor’s interest to find premises with the right space, a good disposition, the right location, and a moderate price.
But in order to find:
• the best locations down town,
• premises next to shopping arcades
• more than 300 m² in peripheriesIt would be easier for experienced franchisors to help you find premises; some networks even go as far as “stocking” premises for their future franchisees.
In case the franchisor takes care of that matter, you would be faced by two risks: the risk of missing a good location if you don’t go fast enough, and the risk of choosing the wrong franchisor and location if you go too fast.
