Workers at some Reno-Sparks Domino’s pizza restaurants said Sunday that seven of the area’s more than a dozen Domino’s outlets might close and then reopen under new ownership.
A worker at the Domino’s at 10603 Stead Blvd. verified that outlet is among the stores marked for closure because the franchisee did not renew the owner’s contract. Phone messages for the store’s owner were not returned Sunday night.
Phone calls to Domino’s corporate headquarters in Michigan were not immediately returned.
Jim Hayes, who owns five Domino’s outlets in Northern Nevada, said he can’t speak for any other franchisee, but he said his stores in Reno and Carson City will remain open.

Most of these Domino’s stores have re-opened. James Hayes, who has been a franchisee with Domino’s since 1984, is the new owner.
