Franchising Topic Of Workshop

Franchising 101, a workshop on how to select, research and buy a franchise, will be presented from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the LSU-Shreveport Business/Education Building, Room 119.

The workshop will be presented by FranNet of Dallas/Fort Worth and is sponsored by the Louisiana Small Business Development Center at LSUS.

The workshop will explore researching franchise opportunities, the cost of owning a franchise, funding options, types of franchises available at different investment levels and franchise disclosure documents.

FranNet is a network of franchise consultants with more than 80 offices in North America.

Cost is $15, and pre-registration is required by calling the Small Business Development Center at (318) 797-5144.
