World Franchise Council Sharpens Strategic Focus

The World Franchise Council, gathering earlier this month in Paris, engaged in a critical dialogue about the economic challenges facing the franchising industry globally and renewed its commitment to sharing information and operating collaboratively.

IFA Immediate Past Chairman and PostNet International Franchise Corp. CEO Steven Greenbaum, who led the group in a strategic planning exercise, said the process “served to strengthen his understanding and belief that franchising doesn’t just unify, it transcends cultural and socio-economic barriers and provides a business format or platform on which to share values and beliefs and improve processes to create opportunity.”

IFA Pres. & CEO Matthew Shay said the meeting was one of the best he had ever attended and commended the WFC for revitalizing the sessions through implementing more compelling events, discussions and activities for the group.
