Food Franchises Expand Through Service Stations

Australian food franchises Donut King and Brumby’s GO! will open new stores in the lucrative service station food retail market as part of ongoing expansion strategy.

This follows the successful running of the first such outlet for Donut King at Allendale, Cessnock from late 2008. The stores will be located in independent service stations.

ASX-listed Retail Food Group (RFG) is Australia’s leading retail food brand manager and franchisor, owning the Donut King, Brumby’s Bakeries, Michel’s Patisserie and bb’s cafe franchise systems.

RFG head of emerging markets, Gavin Nixon said “Entering the service station food retail market is certainly a new direction for RFG and each of the franchise systems.” Read more.
