Golden Corral On Harmony Road Closes

There is one less buffet in Fort Collins today.

Customers who showed up for lunch or dinner at Golden Corral, 901 E. Harmony Road, found the restaurant shuttered and a note on the door.

Lamar Bell, senior vice president of finance with Golden Corral, confirmed that the family-style buffet restaurant, which claims to have the “biggest and best buffet and grill available anywhere,” according to its Web site, will no longer be available in Fort Collins.

Bell said the restaurant, whose offerings ranged from steak to pizza to baked goods, closed earlier this week because it wasn’t “meeting the needs of the franchisee.”

When asked if that was because of the economy, Bell said the closure was not a result of the economy, rather that the franchise was no longer meeting the owner’s financial needs.
