Thailand will soon be able to fall into the Gap.
The San Francisco retailer has signed a franchise agreement with Armin Systems Ltd. to open Gap stores in Thailand. The first will open in spring 2010.
In January 2006, Gap Inc. signed its first franchising agreement to expand its international presence. Through these franchise partners, the company today has 100 Gap and 34 Banana Republic stores open in 17 countries.
In Southeast Asia, Gap has franchised stores open in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore.
