The owners expect to sign a deal today for a franchisee to open a restaurant in the city of Alachua, said Mabelissa Acevedo, vice president of franchise development.

The new “real New York pizza” store is at 7750 Newberry Road in the former Grill Masters. The first opened in January on Archer Road in a building shared with Dunkin’ Donuts, followed by another PizzaVito in Ocala. Another will open in Roswell, Ga., Sept. 26, with four more opening by December, Acevedo said.

The ownership has also opened 28 I Love NY Pizza franchises. Co-founder Vito DiBartolo opened his first pizzeria in Queens, N.Y., in 1966.
