Cafe Expected To Reopen Today

Coffee drinkers looking for their morning fix were surprised to find the doors closed on Wednesday at downtown’s Coffee Culture.

Posted on the door of the coffee house was a “Notice of Landlord’s Distress.” It read that the landlord, Co. Culture, Inc., had closed the eatery due to arrears of rent amounting to almost $12,600.

Calls to the Coffee Culture head office were not returned on Wednesday. But Cathy Oden, director of property management for G. K. York Management Services, which owns the building, said she expects the eatery to be open for business today, perhaps under new management.
