Now that Naked Pizza has its federal disclosure document, the health conscious takeout pizza enterprise is going nationwide.
Co-owner Randy Crochet said he and partner Jeff Leach have fielded more than 950 franchising inquiries in the past two to three weeks from people in Florida, New Jersey, New York, California, Oklahoma, Arizona.
“Most of your major markets are covered,” Crochet said. “These guys are negotiating on everywhere from five to 50 stores they want to open in the next one to five years. We hope to have an area developer in every major market next year.”
Crochet said interest has come from real estate professionals to actors, models and politicians, though he declined to provide specifics.
“The names are jaw-dropping, and it’s a lot of people who have very little background in the pizza industry, which is encouraging because that means they get it and understand the pizza is a method of interaction,” Crochet said.
