Checkers Plans To Add Six Detroit-Area Franchises

Tampa-based Checkers Drive-In Restaurants Inc. plans to add six new franchises in the Detroit area.

The drive-through chain is looking to increase its local presence; Checkers has 42 locations throughout Michigan including 22 stores in metro Detroit.

“A concentration of locations gives a concept like ours the needed recognition and advertising clout,” said Don Miller, Checkers director of development, in a press release.

Checkers will hold a Franchise Expo Saturday and Sunday at the Marriott Hotel in Livonia.

The company will hold interviews in the days after the event.
