Manhattan Bagel Franchisees Open Third Location In Old Bridge

For Sy Appelbaum and Josh Wang, there is nothing like having your own business.

“I enjoy the interaction with people,” Appelbaum said. “It’s always a challenge. I’ve been doing it a long time. I’m very comfortable in my surroundings. I know my operations very well. I know what needs to be done to present a good product and good customer service.”

Wang added, “I enjoy the personal freedoms to interact with people all day. I enjoy talking to the customers and not being stuck in a windowless, cubicle all day.”

The Bridgewater residents have just opened their latest Manhattan Bagel locate at 4209 Route 516. The pair also have opened Manhattan Bagel shops in 2002 in Union and 2003 in Westfield. Appelbaum has been a franchisee with the brand for about 15 years. Full story.
