A McDonald’s playground in Columbus feels a little emptier after a life-sized statue of Ronald McDonald was stolen during the Thanksgiving holiday.
Employees of the fast-food restaurant said the red-headed clown was last seen during breakfast hours of the restaurant on Thanksgiving Day sitting on a bench in the playground area.
Surveillance video shows the iconic figure was snatched Thursday afternoon. The playground remains open, although briefly considered a crime scene. Employees said they just want their statue back. One employee said it’s just not the same without Ronald in his place.
