Dallas Group Buys 21 Chili’s Locations From Brinker

Dallas Morning News:

A Dallas company formed to buy Chili’s Grill & Bar locations from Brinker International Inc. has purchased 21 Midwest Chili’s for $19 million, Brinker said Monday.

Muy Mucho Group LP also has agreed to develop up to 10 Chili’s in the same region – Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska.
This is the first sale of company stores to a franchisee this year, said Don Reyburn, Brinker vice president of franchise development.

Brinker expects to post a gain related to the deal.

Muy Mucho, led by restaurant industry veterans Mark Menking and Jeff Jones, was formed for this deal, Reyburn said.
