The breakfast menu had been tested at 13 stores in the Tuscon, Ariz., market, offering low-priced items like an 89-cent breakfast burrito. The menu also included brands like Starbucks Corp.’s (SBUX) Seattle’s Best Coffee, Sara Lee Corp.’s (SLE) Jimmy Dean sausages and Focus Brands Inc.’s Cinnabon pastries.

Creed, speaking at Yum’s investor meeting in New York, highlighted breakfast as one of additional sales “layers” the chain is looking to add or expand to boost sales.
