A Snap Of A Grand Opening: Snap Fitness, West Milford

January 3 was a cold, snowy and windy day, but that didn’t stop the grand opening of Snap Fitness on Marshall Hill Road in West Milford from being a success. People came in throughout the afternoon to work out; to sign up for new memberships; and to take advantage of the table full of healthy refreshments, raffles for memberships and personal training sessions, and relaxing chair massages. And if you were there at around 1:30 p.m., you could watch the ribbon-cutting ceremony, which Mayor Bettina Bieri had bravely negotiated the wintry weather to officiate.

Shari McAtee co-owns the gym with her fiancé, Jim Caruso. It’s their third Snap Fitness location: they also own the Snap Fitness centers in Oak Ridge (on Berkshire Valley Road) and Vernon (on Route 515).
