Bob Babb is taking Zero’s Subs to a new level.
Next door to his sub shop on Midlothian Turnpike in Chesterfield County, the Zero’s franchisee has opened up Zero’s Sports Bar and Grill.
Zero’s has been strictly a sub shop since 1967, when it began serving oven-baked sandwiches in Virginia Beach.
“We were trying to think of something to make ourselves different from Subway,” Babb said, referring to its competitor.
When space next to his shop in Midlothian Village Square opened up late last year, Babb saw it as an opportunity to both expand and to try a new concept.
