Quaker Steak Plans Downtown Location

Quaker Steak & Lube wants to open a “mini-Lube” Downtown.

Owners of the Middleton restaurant, which specializes in spicy chicken wings, are applying for a beer and liquor license at 222 W. Gorham, the space that has housed Uno Chicago Grill since the mid-1980s. Urban Land Interests owns the building and ULI co-owner Brad Binkowski says an agreement has been reached for Quaker Steak & Lube to lease the space, if the Madison Alcohol License Review Committee approves the license transfer. The committee is expected to take up the proposal at its Feb. 17 meeting.
