Nashville Business Journal:

As more companies are drowning in a sea of red ink, the market for recycled computer print cartridges is hitting high tide.

A Franklin-based franchise developer, and many of the franchises in the region he’s helped develop, are cashing in on the trend with double-digit growth. Robert Jackson, the exclusive franchise developer for Cartridge World in Middle and Eastern Tennessee and Georgia, said his 50-plus franchises have maintained an 18 percent revenue growth rate despite the economic downturn. He said overall growth likely would have been higher, but many prospective owners can’t land loans in the current economic environment.
