Cottage Inn Pizza Is No Longer In Bay City Or Midland, Franchise Owner Files Lawsuit

The Cottage Inn Pizza chain no longer is operating in Bay City and Midland.

And now Lester E. Myers — former owner of the two Cottage Inn franchises in Bay City and one in Midland — is party to a lawsuit filed against the Ann Arbor-based pizza franchise and its owners.

The 19-page lawsuit alleges violation of contract agreements, violating Michigan’s franchise investment law, conspiracy, fraud and other charges.

“The defendants have collectively deceived their franchisees, manipulated the franchise agreements, breached the language and/or spirit of the parties’ contracts, or otherwise made compliance with the franchise agreements impossible,” states the lawsuit filed this month in Washtenaw County Trial Court.
