Chili’s Bar & Grill Restaurant plans to open a new location here in October.

Chili’s has filed plans to build a 5,700-square-foot restaurant at Houston Road and Spiral Boulevard next to Chick-fil-A, says Kevin Wall, director of zoning services at the Boone County Commission.

A typical Chili’s location seats about 200 people and has about 120 employees, says Danielle Smith, a spokeswoman for Brinker International Inc., Chili’s owner.
