McDonald’s Offers Scholarships

McDonald’s restaurants have a sweet deal for eligible high school seniors craving a higher education.

McDonald’s Family Restaurants of Greater Washington, D.C. is offering $1,500 scholarships to eligible students who live in the greater metropolitan area (including Culpeper) to the college or university of their choice through the seventh annual McDonald’s Educates Scholarship Program.

Applications must be postmarked by March 26. The application is available at McDonalds Educates.com.
To qualify, students must demonstrate dedication to volunteerism, leadership, academic excellence and character.

Completed applications must also include a letter of recommendation from a teacher, guidance counselor or community service leader and two short essays.
