Scottish Franchise Week To Showcase Opportunities For Successful Biz Growth

One of the biggest and best business opportunities of the year takes place with the launch of the Scottish Franchise Week (10-14 May).

Franchising contributes more than £800 million a year to the Scottish economy and is responsible for creating more than 30,000 jobs.

While many industry sectors suffered during the recession around 90 per cent of franchisees reported a profit, including 80 per cent of those in their first two years of operation.

“Franchising is a real growth industry and the number of brands and number of franchises has continued to grow steadily for a number of years.” said Tom Endean, a spokesman for the British Franchising Association.
