Super-Sized McDonald’s Opens May 12

Greenwood Commonwealth:

The new McDonald’s going up in Greenwood is, in a word, super-sized.

“It’s the largest one in six states. That’s what my boss is saying,” said Frank Broussard, the restaurant’s supervisor and a 30-year veteran of the Golden Arches.

Broussard’s boss, owner-operator Michael Retzer, said the 6,215-square-foot restaurant on U.S. 82 is truly one of a kind.

“As a McDonald’s franchisee, I am proud to bring the world’s newest McDonald’s to Greenwood. This state-of-the-art facility was constructed with many of the greatest advances in restaurant technology including a dual-lane drive-thru and a cutting-edge kitchen system,” Retzer said in prepared remarks.

The restaurant will seat upward of 150 customers and be open 24 hours a day.
