Dickey’s Barbecue Pit Comes To East Texas

KLTV:

Dallas-based Dickey’s Barbecue, the largest barbecue chain in the country, is well-known for their 10 hot pit-smoked barbecue meats, free ice cream and free big yellow cups— now they are bringing their signature flavor to East Texas.

Dickey’s is growing at a rapid pace opening 30 stores since early 2009. Fifty-six stores are currently in development across the country.

But, as the chain branches outside of Texas, the lone-star state is getting more Dickey’s as well. Its latest addition is on 2330 Judson Road in Longview.

“I love East Texas and I love Dickey’s Barbecue, so I knew they would work together beautifully if I just brought Dickey’s to Longview,” Franchise Owner Rick Howell said.

The East Texas businessman said he decided to open the franchise in Longview because he thought it would be a great business opportunity. This seems to be the sentiment of all Dickey’s owner/operators.
