Earthtimes:

Jazzercise, Inc. started the new decade with its most successful opening quarter in the company’s 40-year history. Typically the busiest time of year for the fitness industry, Jazzercise posted more than $19.5 million in customer sales, which included a 23 percent increase in new sign-ups over the same timeframe in 2009. The company’s January franchisee royalties of $1.4 million set a Jazzercise single-month record.

“As we begin our fifth decade in the fitness industry, Jazzercise continues to thrive,” said company founder and CEO Judi Sheppard Missett. “We work together with our franchisees to deliver quality instruction; connect with our customers through a high-level fitness experience; and operate our business with superior creativity, execution and foresight.”
