Fire up the grill and slap on some authentic Mexican grub, a health-conscious attitude, a splash of Chicano flavor and a dash of thumping American rock ‘n’ roll.
The end result: Chino’s Rock & Taco, which has quickly become a Central Coast mainstay for the college crowd and families alike.
In 2006 owner Javier Cadena, then 24, opened his first location in downtown San Luis Obispo. Shortly thereafter came the Santa Barbara and Isla Vista locations. Last month, a fourth location was opened in Paso Robles at 98 Niblick Road.
Cadena is a third-generation restaurateur with plenty of experience in the restaurant biz.
