Biz Buzz: Corporate Finance Executive Sets Sights On Individuals

After a career handling finances for major corporations, David Gentry has turned his attention to individuals.

The Henrico County businessman recently opened a local office for American Prosperity Group.

“I wanted to do something a little different, and I saw this as a good opportunity to go out on my own,” Gentry said.

American Prosperity focuses on long-term savings, retirement and estate planning.

Gentry is the first franchisee in the Richmond area.

He opened the office off of Lauderdale Road, near West Broad Street, in January.
