McDonald’s Franchisee To Debut 6th Store

Lake County’s McDonald’s franchisee will open a sixth location later this month — a completely renovated restaurant that first opened in 1973.

Frank Chalfont, owner of Leesburg-based Chalfont & Associates Group Inc., finalized a franchise transfer agreement with McDonald’s Corp. on June 10 for the restaurant on South Bay Street and plans to reopen that location on June 28. The 4,850-square-foot, 88-seat restaurant added a double drive-through, high-top and booth seating, a McCafe coffee bar and a self-service beverage bar, said a spokeswoman.
