Evans Steakhouse Closed

The doors of an Evans steakhouse closed for good this past weekend.

Mark Herbert, owner of Stonecrest Steakhouse in Evans Town Center, said the last dinner was served Saturday evening before the upscale steak house closed.

“It’s not a money issue,” Herbert said, who also owns and operates Herbert Homes.

In one aspect, Herbert said, it is difficult for a small, privately-owned to complete with chain restaurant pricing.
